AME INTL Quick Valve Change Tool

We needed to change a valve stem that had perished on a commercial vehicle using this tool we had the valve stem changed without taking the tyre off in approximately 30 seconds definitely would recommend to anybody that needs to change the valve stem without taking the wheel all the tire off only thing I would say is always lubricate the rubber parts before inserting the new stem

A quality bit of kit well-made, but is totally useless when used on a Land Rover discovery two alloy wheel. The valve retrieval tool worked very well with no problem. The difficulty was trying to push the valve through the cone to seat on the wheel rim. I tried for half an hour to try and push it through and actually ruined one valve, stem, pushing so hard that the rubber came away from the brass insert. I had partial success when I used a mallet, but the valve was only half in at best using that method, it would probably work better on a steel rim which is slightly thinner.

I don't usually leave reviews, however this one is for anyone that is interested in saving time and money. This kit works really well in all ways, apart from the fact that the hook for removing the old valve could do with being a bit thinner. I had to bend mine to angle it out. Make sure to use some kind of lubricant on the new valve and use a rubber mallet on the valve rod. It went in fine and is keeping pressure. Happy!

Product does not work as claimed

Changed the valve on my VW T5 wheel. The kit works really well but the hook was to big for the hole in the rim so had a bit of a struggle.Other than that it worked perfectly! A great addition to the tool box!
