Great rack, but not compatible with a typical Specialized frame disc brake setup
This rack came with t-twists which means it's new stock, your results may not be the same. The design and quality is fantastic for a rack, but I was really hoping it would fit my relatively standard disc brake setup on my specialized mountain bike (rockhopper). I will add some photos to show the issue. I heavily modified the rack to work and am going to use a 3rd t-twist support to connect the detached forward rack stay to the disc brake mount for added support IF I can get one. Because this rack is built heavily with thick tubing (650 grams of aluminum) and the t-twist mounting system is awesomely solid, I'm believe it will work well even with a serious loss of integrity due to my modifications. Still, I really don't see how this will work well as intended with a variety of disc brake bikes out there so I can only give it three stars because they market their design to fill this niche and it's nearly impossible to research whether or not the rack will work out for you. Unfortunately Toba does not sell the t-twist supports with straight rods separately from the rack, so if they decide to send me one I will probably up my review!Pros:- Solid- Great designs- Durable finish- T-twist are the best support system in the industry- Rated at 80+ pounds of capacityCons:- Specialized drop-outs which move the rack rearward are not always disc brake compatible- Rack is over 650 grams, which is quite heavy, but this is also a pro as it will take a beating- Not sure if they have any customer services yet
