Solution to Combat Insects in Trash Cans
So, I may have accidentally thrown out a pack of raw chicken in the dead of summer and the result was a trash can full of maggots! After cleaning out the can with bleach several times, the maggots were gone but I still noticed a lot of flies hanging around. The ERRO T800 Garbage Guard has proven to be a true game-changer in the battle against flies lingering around my trash cans. It is designed to tackle flies, maggots and other insects and has become an indispensable addition to my household. The adhesion did not work for me so I ordered some zip ties and attached it so it hangs inside my can. Once in place, it worked discreetly to eradicate the flies, ensuring that my waste disposal area remains hygienic and free from unwanted pests. The eradication process was quick, preventing the insects from becoming a larger nuisance. I rarely see a fly around my trash cans and have not had anymore maggots even when throwing out food. The device employs safe and environmentally friendly means to tackle the insect problem, making it a responsible choice for households. Additionally, the low maintenance requirements and long-lasting performance further contribute to its overall appeal. I only have to replace it every 6 months because it seems to work past the 4 months stated in the description. For anyone dealing with persistent insect issues around their trash cans, this is a reliable and effective solution.

Two Days Wonder.
First, I after to state my biggest disappointment. The tape did not hold but for a day or two. $10.00 in the trash no matter how good, is a hard bargain. From this aspect I was very disappointed because within that little time I could see that this product is like none other. It really works. If you want something in your trash that can do in two days what others, other than Hot Shot can do then the two days is worth it.After two days having attached the product to the lid in accordance with the directions, there were masses of maggots. Mind you, all the trash was in sealed bags but obviously not sealed enough.Though the gadget was gone after day two, it's effectiveness is unreal. I have never seen anything kill maggots and take care of flys like this. It did in two days killing maggots, addressing a very active fly infestatation amazingly. I can only speak on what occured within two days and I find that it is truly a Two-day wonder.

Lord of the Flies
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this product in August, it is now November and I belive this product is supposed to last 4 months and let me tell you how the last few months went: the day after gluing the pod to the lid, I noticed a few dead flies on the bottom of the trash can but still a lot of live ones. I gave it a few days but flies and maggots were still living in my trash can. After a couple of weeks I came to the conclusion that this product works so-so, it killed a few flies but not enough to fix my fly issue. At one point maggots even started crawling around and inside the pod like it was nothing! I left it alone as weather started to cool off ( I live in SC so by cool off, I mean below 80°) and I started seeing less flies but I think the weather change had more to do with it than this product. As weather fluctuated between a few cool days and warm days, the amount of flies also fluctuated. Two days ago, after trash was picked up, they left the lid open and I noticed the my trash can was FULL of flies and maggots, there were so many of them flying around that I couldn't even get close to the trash can. I finally decided enough is enough and I grabbed my garden hose and began rinsing off the trash can to get all of the nastiness off and the maggots. While I was spraying the lid, the pod fell off and fell on my driveway, I thought "oh well, its trash anyway" and continued spraying the trash can until I felt it was clean and moved on. Now here's the horrifying part: I dont know what about the pod getting wet caused this but a few hours later, I noticed flies gathering around the pod and seemed to be dying? The next morning even more flies were gathering around it, there's so many of them you can't get close and its really disgusting! There are so many flies and they're all coming to my driveway 😭😭I'm attaching a video of what I'm looking at when I look at my driveway. This product definitely didn't work as intended and now I feel like the lord of the flies with all of these flies gathering and dying in my driveway and I dont know how many more will come but I don't want to get close and pick up the pod.

works but needs better way to attach
They do kill the maggots and flies but they don't stay stuck to the inside of the can lids. They fall off and get buried in the trash so they get thrown out when the can is full. They need a way to hook to the lid so they can keep working for several can fulls of trash before they stop killing the bugs. Too expensive for just one can full of trash, especially if you have more than one can. I think the hot weather must melt the adhesive and make them fall off. They did keep working even when they fell into the trash, but I wasn't going to root through the smelly trash to get them out.

Great, but the company that makes them is inconsistent
The first one I ordered last year was amazing, cleared out all the flys after a day. I ordered another one a couple months later and it did not have the same effect. Strange. So I order another one this year and it did not work at all. I then placed another order and after swapping the first one for the second one the flys were dead the next day. I could literally smell the second one when I opened it.Here is my theory based on my experience, only about 60% of these are effective because the manufacturer is not making them consistently enough so that each one they sell is 100% the same as the last. Some are 10% effective, some are 90% but it just depends on what batch you got. This angers me. These are 10 dollars! Not cheap. The person that is making these should not sell these in packs of 1, they should be 2 for 10. Its insane to think that almost half of these sold are total duds. I'm going to start repacking them up and sending them back, you have already burned me out of $20 worth of bad units, I wont burn one more dollar on this.
