Absolutely great people to work with. I had some questions and they got back to me right away. When the shop told me to order 10 over on the bearings and then not grind the crank down so they would fit I was pretty angry. These guys traded out the 10 over ones for standard size ones no problem. Even got here within 2 days. Now the car runs great thanks to evergreen. I will definitely order from them again!!

This kit is fine for most d series engines but I would think twice before using it on a D16Y8. It will work but you will lose some performance. The pistons for the Y8 should be 9.6:1 and these are 9.4:1 (I should have caught this before I ordered). The oil pan gasket was a little larger then it should be so it did not want to sit right. It would have been a little easier if the gaskets and seals were labeled to plan things out a little better.This kit does not include the following:V-tech solenoid gasket - A must have for the Y8Only includes half of the timing cover gaskets - which surprised meExhaust manifold to cat gasket but does include the manifold to down pipe gasketsOil restrictor O-ring (in the cylinder head under the lost motion assembly)**UPDATE** 7-17-17 After 120 break in miles the head gasket failed and started to leak compression into the cooling system and vice versa. I pulled the head off. Checked for warpage on the deck and the head and everything was good. Has the head resurfaced just to be safe. Installed a Fel-Pro gasket and ARP Head Studs. No problems now. Highly recommend that you get the Felpro Gasket!
