Adapts Dyson DC-17 attachments to a Shark Apex vacuum
I have a dead Dyson DC-17 Animal, this adapter allows the attachments from that vacuum to be used with my new Shark Apex. Tight fit, no loss of suction. Thick plastic, I expect it will last a long time.

ADAPTING THE ADAPTER FOR DYSON DC26
I bought a wider floor brush for my Dyson model DC26 multi-floor vacuum but needed an adapter for the required 1 1/4 to 1 3/8ths to make it fit the Dyson hose fitting. This adapter's middle and narrower end were just right. I sawed off the wider end at the transition and discarded it. The two step narrow to middle is perfect. I Gorilla glued the narrow end to the floor brush and now I am a happy camper. Thank You for this adapter

Did not fit my new 1-1/2 inch hose.
This was well enough made, but did not fit. I needed an adapter for a new hose to fit into my old 1-1/4 wall outlet. This did fit the wall outlet, but did not fit my new 1-1/2 inch hose. I couldn't use this adapter and I returned it. I ended up buying an adapter from a local vacuum store.

I am giving this adapter a one star because it does not fit my shark vacuum which is a shark rotator pro lift away NV501. I originally wanted to get this because I had previously bought a vacuum brush attachment because I heard it was good for cleaning the floors specifically if you have pets. Unfortunately I will not be able to find out since the brush that I purchased did not fit my Shark vacuum and this attachment I also purchase to make that brush fit also does not fit. It really is a shame because I really wanted to use that floor brush.

Works well when adapting smaller attachments to a shop vac however is a little bit of sizing issues

Needed an adapter to use on the Snowjob ash vac with 1 1/2 hose.This allowed me to attach a 1 1/4 crevice tool to the vac. just what I needed.

Works but…….
The adapter worked on one end of my hose but not the other. So, I bought another one, glued the two large ends together and voila! My husband does the vacuuming in our home and says it works great. Would have been better to have to only buy one.
