These were just as I expected. I used them to cover the corners of our sectional which had been clawed up. The backing has a Velcro trim around the border which helps these stay in place after being nailed to the couch. Would definitely buy these again.

I didn't realize that the only way to attach these is for the velcro to stick to your furniture, I assumed it at least came with another piece of velcro with adhesive to stick on the furniture. In any case, these work for the corners of my mattress where my kitty likes to scratch. The velcro sticks to the mattress so it's fine.

I bought these to protect the arms of a fabric chair. I have scratching post next to the chair arm; however, the cats still want to scratch the chair, so I bought these. So far they stick fine. I don't think the cats scratch the pads, though. Maybe the people having problems with the pads sticking have cats that pull them off. In any case it was sure worth 11 bucks to try. I just wish I'd gotten them before the upholstery got torn up.

We built a cat window thing with a window perch and feeding station, litterbox underneath. We put one of these around each of the front legs and the cats use it all the time. Part of a multi-pronged 'don't scratch the new furniture in the new house please' effort that seems to be working!

This is a single sided mat, this means that it is really too thin to be used on a floor since it is very light and will move around too much. Also the surface will not stand up to a great deal of scratching or pulling from a mid size cat. It might work if you could use the velcro to fix it to a post but my recommendation is to look elsewhere.I would have returned it if the economics made sense.

My cats love this mat. It wouldn't stick to our couch (which is a very odd material) so I wrapped it around a table leg and it's worked awesome. The mat has velcro on all sides and can be wrapped and hooked onto itself, so attaching it to the table leg was a breeze.

The cat stoped scratching the couch with this. One thing to note is that you have to find a way to attach to the couch. If it had come with some sort of screw top pins to attach to furniture I would have given it five stars.
