Everything Will Be Alright In The End
J**3
Everything will be alright in the end. Honestly.
Weezer are (finally, after such a long, long time) officially back. This is easily their best work since Maladroit if not Pinkerton, the latter being one of my favourite albums of all time. This is without a doubt my album of the year, if not the last few years. I honestly thought Weezer were done, don't get me wrong there have been some good songs across the past few albums but they were few and far between. EWBAITE is not here to be broken down track by track, it is here to be listened to as an album from front to back and appreciated as an excellent Weezer album. No matter what Weezer do from here on in they will always have their work compared to The Blue Album and Pinkerton and it is very hard to not do so. I really hope this record gets the critical acclaim it deserves, from the majority of reviews I have read the response has been extremely positive. I, like most other fans have become increasingly frustrated with each release after Maladroit and when I heard there was a new album coming this year my expectations were not very high, to say the least. It still hasn't quite sunk in how amazing this album is and though it was never going to reach the heights of The Blue Album or Pinkerton it is the closest we are ever likely to get.

A complete album of decent tracks throughout rather than a handful of shortlived hits. Weeeeeezer! have come back strong
Personally, Weezer have always been touch and go with their album releases and more so recently a real lottery. However being a fan of the self titled 'colours' albums, pinkerton and Maladriot. Its hard to pick a favourite but Pinkerton, Red & Maladriot get played the most, i must confess this album has surprised me greatly. The sound is very much back to their melodic geek punk pop days of the 90s and the first album where i only skip one track but its is listenable ( cleopatra is the track btw). Granted there is always an top anthemic track from every album, but i'd rather have album of 8 or 9 out of 10 tracks throughout, than 3 or 4 top 10 tracks and rest being mediocre at best. I'd recommend a few listens, some will instantly grab you with catching choruses or opening, but you'll grow to love them pretty all in their own right.

One of weezers three decent albums. Arrived nicely packaged with no issues with the cd box nor the actual cd.

Like several other reviewers have said it's great
I've never written a review on Amazon before but as a long-time Weezer fan I felt the need to review EWBAITE as I know Weezer usually get lambasted by reviewers... I'll keep it short... Like several other reviewers have said it's great... a welcome return to form that Rivers and the boys should be proud of, best album since Maladroit.. The hooks are back, consistently.. not just one or two good songs but a whole album of good melodies... My only gripe would be that production wise (actually it maybe a mastering issue) there is a bit of a muddy sound to the album as a whole in comparison to the last couple of albums... Pat's drums are not bright enough... no treble on the cymbals... even the vocals are a bit muddy in places.. but that's a production thing, song-wise it's great...

Pinkerton...we love you
Rivers Cuomo! How can you work this bloke out? I certainly can't. From nowhere he decides to go back to the start and write great songs that got us hooked in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I loved some of the stuff after Pinkerton but he never quite hit the spot again until now. this truly has taken me back to when I fell in love with Weezer.

All Weezer, all the time...
If I could give it more than five stars I would. This is Weezer at their Weeziest yet; the riffs are chunkier but still as melodic as ever, the lyrics keep up the high standard I've come to expect, and it's already replaced Pinkerton as my go-to album when I've got feels. An instant classic that should be in everyone's collection.

Colour me Weezer
Heralded as something of a comeback for a band which had been seen by many to have lost its way. However, on an initial listen the uninspired riffing and muddy production values suggest Weezer may yet still be in the wilderness. The album also confirms Old Bailey's First Law of Weezer which states that the only albums worth listening to from the band's back catalogue are those referred to by colour not title.
