Tried 2 cups and tossed the bag. *See pic
After reading the reviews for the Kenya AA coffee by Volcanica I ordered a 16oz bag. It came in a timely fashion and the bag advisesd that it was freshly roasted August 8th 2019! In preparation for storage of the coffee, I purchased a coffee storage canister by Friis on Amazon which I am pleased with) and cleaned out my coffee maker two weeks ahead of schedule. Followed the instructions for my first Brew and was immediately disappointed at first taste. Watered down is the best way to explain the taste. I waited a few hours and for my 2nd Brew I added more coffee but to no avail. Within 8 hours of receiving my order it was in the trash can because there is no way I will drink this again. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Smooth medium roast goodness
Low acidity. Good medium roast. Good aroma. Straight or with a touch creamer and makes for comforting coffee drink. It also makes for great ice coffee as it compliments with vanilla creamer.I won’t be ordering again. As I’m finishing off the product I am discovering its difficult and inconvenient to scoop out measured portions from the bag it comes in. The taste isn’t enough for me to reorder and pour the contents into a container that can keep it fresh as possible and be able to scoop out my measured portions.

Did Not Taste like Other Guatemalan Antigua Coffee I've Tried
I wanted to love this coffee, but in reading reviews I recall seeing mention of a "smokey" flavor. Well that must be exactly what I very much did not like about this coffee, unfortunately. It was very, very fresh and well packaged, but even my husband did not like it.The other versions I've tried from other manufacturers had more of a caramel/fruity undertone and this one absolutely does not.So I am going back to the one I had prior as I have figured out a better measurement for the quantity of coffee I make and it is excellent. The one I love is by Community Coffee and after experimenting with the quantity to use and finally getting it right, it's wonderful. It's much cheaper as well. The quality of this coffee is excellent, meaning it appears to be very fresh, so it's a shame the taste wasn't what I was expecting. Also I forgot, once again in my haste, to really read through everything - no returns so I should never have purchased it.

Causes an involuntary “Mmm” with every other sip!
First, let me say that I am not a coffee connoisseur in any way. I just love a good, strong cup of coffee. I ran across a store brand Sumatran Gayo coffee in K cups recently and liked it enough to want to brew it by the pot. I thought the price for this coffee was pretty extreme, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try. All I can say is that I have finally found what I’ve wanted for years…a good cup of coffee that is bold, but very smooth at the same time. Again, since I am new to this variety of coffee, I can’t compare to a lot of other brands, I just know that this brand is much better than the K cups that I originally tried. AND I have no reason to look any further.

Much stronger than your folgers
I'm not a daily coffee drinker, so when I tried a cup of this, I was really surprised that I was grinding my teeth within a hour. Most people would like that type of zip. The flavor is awesome, too. It still has that harshness of black coffee, but it's a lot smoother than grocery store brands. I enjoyed it, and purchased more last Christmas for my family. They also really enjoyed it.If I remember correctly, I stumbled upon this specific kind from wirecutter. I wasn't disappointed.

Reasonable taste but not as smooth as I would like
I have used Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee in the past and in one instance it was absolutely great. But it was a small grower and I could not get the coffee again. I tried this one hoping it would be as good and was a bit disappointed. It tastes OK but not great. Needs to be more flavorful. It also seems to have a bit of an acidic after taste even though I have tried using different amounts per cup. It may be just my taste buds, but this one has not hit the mark for me after tasting one that was as close to perfect as I could imagine. Someone else may be able to find the right coffee/water blend to meet their taste.

Just buy local
I ordered this coffee ground by mistake. The bag was dated, roasted and ground 7 weeks before it arrived, so as ground coffee goes naturally it had gone stale 5 weeks before it arrived. This is an insult to the prized beans they were meant to represent. TASTING NOTES: dark-malted cardboard and shameIf you insist on buying ground coffee, head to your local roaster or co-op grocery store and fresh-grind the cheapest fair trade coffee they have. I guarantee it will taste better than the rarest coffees on earth if they've been ground and left to decay for a couple of weeks.

Delicious!
From the minute you receive the package you can tell by the aroma that this coffee is head and shoulders above many others. The first cup tells you you were right. Smooth, strong (the way I make it), and low acid (my tummy is grateful) this Sumatran coffee is just perfect for us. We will be repeat customers for sure.
