We like to go hiking and camping, and of course, we always have some kind of whistle on a keychain somewhere in our bags. But when I saw this Electronic Whistle, I realized I could really use an upgrade like this! With this electronic whistle, I can achieve a much louder sound than with just my own breath. And if I was ever lost or needed help, I would want as loud of a call as possible so someone could hear me and help me.This whistle has 6 volume levels (using the Vol + and Vol – buttons on the side) and can go up to 125 db! (I would want to wear ear protection while doing this!) There are three tones, which are basically all a whistle sound (like a sports referee), just at higher and lower pitches. On top of all that, this device also comes with a 200-lumen flashlight that has both a steady beam and a flashing beam.This device is smaller than half a deck of cards (3 ¼” x 1 ½”) and weighs about the same as an egg (60 grams). It seems to be made well and will be durable enough to withstand rough use. And it’s waterproof, in case you have to use it in a rainstorm! The 1000mAh internal battery easily charges up by a USB cord and there are indicator lights on the front of the device to show how much power is remaining until needing to be charged again.I do have a few issues to mention. The buttons are all black and so are the icons, so even in the daylight, you can barely see what each button is for (you’ll be really sorry if you press the Alarm button by mistake and can’t get it to shut off. Ask me how I know! Hint: cover the sound port with your palm if this happens to you.) I wish they could make the icons in white or even glow-in-the-dark paint so you can see them any time day or night. It would also be helpful if there was a cover over the buttons so they can’t be pressed accidentally while in your bag, etc. Also, I wish the flashlight had a pulse button, so you could press the button to produce Morse Code for S.O.S. or other signals for help.

Didn't realize that this is the same company that I bought my other electric whistle from, but my main complaints are the exact same as they were for that one. When you press volume up or down, the whistle will go off every time. Not a big fan of that because sometimes I wanna check the volume and it'll be on full blast, to which point you just have to use the volume button instead of the actual whistle button. Same exact problem - except it's even more necessary on this one because the middle tone is a double whistle which will only play properly every time by using volume switches. The volume buttons can also go off in your pocket while all the other buttons are a sustained hold to make any noise.The light is ok. It'll help you get around. If you're a flashlight enthusiast then obviously I wouldn't completely suggest this if you were looking forward to both components being of decent quality. Lots of artifacts in the beam and a very crude purplish-blue with a yellow hotspot. Brightness is decent and I do like the bicycle light mode.Could be improved upon but it's good enough for what you'll need.

Easy to use. It has quite a long battery life too. The flashlight is very useful and handy. Not small (enough as a keychain) but also not too bulky. Hanging this on one’s backpack would be a good way to always keep it around, and ready to be used. IP65 waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about it. I obtained this product to put into my backpack while out biking and hiking alone as a means to have an additional layer of security when things may turn out not ideal due to an accident without cell coverage etc. In addition, I provided this to my wife to carry if she's out alone in parking structures etc as a non lethal method to generate "loud" alarming noise!The product is decent quality and the LED light has some cool utility but the multi tone and volume whistle/horn whatever you call it, is surprisingly loud! The first time I tested it, I was being anti-smart and was playing with it, inside my vehicle and when it went off, it both startled me and once I switch it off, my ears were ringing.Bottom line - a cool little device that can augment your personal protection strategy as well as serve as a potential loud alert if your injured or just need to get someone attention when you're out camping, hiking, biking etc.I recommend this product.
