Q: We got 2 two packs and we want to have all four on our network. But it won’t let me have more than 3 in the app. How do I connect the fourth?

TP Link allows up to 10 nodes on one network. I had trouble adding my 3rd node. I found that it helped out a lot to power them on and add them one at a time. Also if you are doing “wireless backhaul” your 4th node may be to far away from the other 3 nodes to establish a connection. I would highly recommend running Ethernet cable to each node if at all possible in your setup. I did this and it doubled the speeds on my network. Hope this helps a little.

Hi! The primary difference is the bandwidth. The X55 is an AX3000 system, offering up to 574 Mbps over 2.4GHz, and up to 2402 Mbps over 5GHz. The X25 is an AX1800 system, offering up to 574 Mbps over 2.4GHz and up to 1201 Mbps over 5GHz.

Q: Have 3000 sq foot house but want to add on blink WiFi cameras outside. Will the system be strong enough?

Yes. We have about 3700 sq ft. Thus the need for a mesh system. We have a detached garage with a blink camera perhaps 250 feet away from the house. I placed on of these mesh devices upstairs in the house for another work room. The blink camera is working just fine. For point of reference - house is solid brick with interior walls also being brick covered with plaster (house is circa 1840's). So it has some solid walls to go through but the blink still works fine.

Q: Can i connect these to a mobile hotspot and then plug ethernet from my pc into the deco unit? then i could connect ethernet cable to my jetpack?

No, the first node has to connect via ethernet, as I've just discovered while trying to connect my outdoor to my existing wifi, which it won't do.

Excellent and stable network!

Much better than my BT extenders!! Was easy to set up and install and the network is much more stable now. Was recommended by a friend and can't fault the mesh network!!

Wrong size electrical plug

The actual mesh unit is excellent. I have three in my house and I wanted a fourth unit. I purchased this as a single unit, but it came with a US-style electrical plug, and I live in the UK. If one looks closely, then you can see the unit is shipped from the US. In the end, I purchased a US-UK plug adapter, and it worked fine - but I’d have preferred to buy a UK-based unit.

This is intended for the American market!

Purchased this to extend my three unit system, the first problem, even though purchased through Amazon UK it cam with an American plug. Next problem the unit refuses to update to the same firmware version as my other three units.I have emailed TP-Link and they have just ignored my comments and I have had no joy from Amazon either.
