Amazon Basics USB-Powered Computer Speakers for Desktop or Laptop PC with Volume Control, Plug-N-Play, Black

I *just* got these today, so this is more informational than a real product review. I have a 2025 Mac Mini, and frankly the built-in speaker is OK, but I really want more output when I have a file that's recorded at a low level. These speakers seemed like a good solution, not expensive, NOT using a precious USB port which are scarce on the Mini, and you can plug in wired headphones.Two "issues" that are not really problems, but worth noting. First, on my Mini, when I shift the left/right balance, the speaker with the control knob is on the right. I wish I knew this before setting it up on my crowded desk. The package shows that one on the left, but it is the right for me.Second, when I plugged them in, I got nothing. Tried them on another device, worked well. So, looked at the Sound menu on the system menu, yep, it was there and selected, but no output and I could switch between Mini speakers and the new set, but no sound. So I went to the Sound panel on System Setting. The speakers show as External Headphones, but they were muted! I noted that when I plugged in wired headphones it was OK. So, uncheck the Mute and slide the volume up and it was fine.Overall, not bad sound, a bit thin on the upper bass range, occasionally a tiny bit tinny, but fine for my needs. Depend on where you put them, I think. Plus I can turn them off, plug in headphones, and they don't waste any USB ports! Pretty good value.

These little speakers are great! They plug into the wall so not to draw power from your PC and overload it. There might be a tiny quiet hum when you turn the volume up very loud and pause your music but that’s normal for all speakers. They are loud and clear. GREAT VALUE!!!

I am a big fan of Amazon Basics products, and these speakers are no exception. They are nice and compact and sound really good for when I occasionally need an external speaker. They are not audiophile quality by any means but they get the job done at a reasonable price! A nice complement to my Mac Mini.

Been fairly happy with these computer speakers for the last four months or so, got 'em in August. Here in January they have suddenly died, though - they still turn on, but no sound comes through besides some static if I turn it all the way up. Other devices work in the same headphone jack, issue persisted through a reboot, so its not a software issue or something with the computer. They just gave up the ghost.Three stars 'cause well, they only lasted four months - of daily usage for about 6-12 hours a day, so definitely heavy usage. On the other hand, they were cheap, easy to get going, so.... just want some basic speakers to get you by for a bit, here ya go. Want something that'll last, look elsewhere apparently.

These great little speakers are well worth acquiring. They are super easy to connect with 110V power and an AUX connector. The have clean highs and mids. Alone, they are quite acceptable as a basic computer speakers. I added them to a Logitech Z323 on my desktop with a duplex AUX connector. The Z323 has good mids and base with its compact subwoofer. The Amazon Basics speakers with the AC power gives me effective treble control I wanted with the volume knob. For voice these speakers sound just right. Now, if I am just listening to voice, these speakers do the job and I can turn off the Z323 and just listen to the Amazon Basics!

I wanted a pair of speakers for my pc. These amazon basics, computer speakers for Desktop perfectly does the job. They are simple to connect, powered by AC, have a volume control and sound very good. There is no line noise and are perfectly quiet when there is no audio being played. The cables are long enough to spread the speakers across my desk, the power cable is long enough to allow plugging in to my backup power and the audio cable is long enough to place the speakers as I want. I recommend these speakers to anyone that wants a good, economical and stereo sound set of speakers.
