Great picture
I recently purchased this product, and I must say, it's the best investment I've made in a while. From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed by its sleek design and intuitive interface. Installation was a breeze; I had it up and running in minutes without any hassle. What sets this product apart is its user-friendliness. Even without prior experience, I found it incredibly easy to navigate and utilize all its features. Whether you're a tech-savvy individual or a beginner, this product caters to everyone. Moreover, its performance exceeded my expectations. It delivered exactly what was promised, and then some. I've been using it regularly, and it hasn't disappointed me once.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone in search of quality and convenience. I'm so satisfied with my purchase that I'm already planning to buy another one.

Almost Perfect
This is my first security camera system. Set up wasn't too bad. I ran my own wire and installed my own rj45 ends. This did come with it's own cable. There are A LOT of settings for these cameras to tinker with. I have it pretty much left at the default settings. At night if the cameras detect motion, the spotlight turns on.You can make it so the spotlight and an alarm turn on, you can determine the window of time these settings take effect. All kinds of stuff. I'm really happy with the amount of tinkering you can do.One problem I do have is lighting. If a camera detects too much light it won't turn on it's night vision. One camera over looking my patio doesn't go into night vision mode because a dusk to dawn light on my garage gives off too much light. So the camera can't really see much at night time. The picture is mostly dark with a light source off in the distance. I don't want to turn the light off and have the back yard completely dark, but it sucks not having the camera get the best picture.Other than that the camera system has been great so far.Only other complaint is the mouse that comes with to control the system. It would be nice if it were wireless. I bought a $10 wireless one on Amazon to replace it as soon as I set it up.The reolink app has worked flawlessly so far too. I really like that I can change settings on the app, such as camera names, and it changes on the DVR.

Good security system with easy setup for remote monitoring on mobile devlices
This unit performs very well. The cameras provide video and also serve as motion detection lights. The cameras are very wide angle which is helpful in some locations. I may add an additional narrow field-of-view camera to provide a more telescopic vision in one direction as well a doorbell camera. I may add an external POE unit to provide power to the cameras and reduce any chance of higher temperatures inside the NVR.It was easy to install since there were already Cat5e cables to every location for the 8 cameras included.Setup of the NVR was less difficult that expected. The menus were logical unlike some other brands. It is easy to connect into most home routers, especially using Cat5e or Cat6.I upgraded to an industrial high-security router, which required establishing a DMZ tunnel and adding the NVR's MAC address to the table of allowed devices. Most users can ignore that task, but it is not especially hard to do if you have installed your industrial router and set up the security.Setting up remote access on my mobile phone was much less complex than Qsee.I had been using a Qsee POE NVR system for about a decade. Qsee NVRs ran hot. I replaced the hard disks in the Qsee NVRs with larger data center grade disks as original disks failed.I replaced Qsee NVRs as they failed, probably due to heat generated by the built-in POE power supply.

Overall very nice, but need minor adjustments/additions
I’ve installed a number of HIK vision camera systems, including for my father and my sisters homes, and they seem to have probable at least twice a year that needs the tech to come out and fix it due to IP change or whatever, and they’re so much more expensive, so when it came to my own house I decided to shop around. I’ve only had these cameras installed for about 5 days now, but overall they seem very nice, especially for the price, compared to HIK and other brands. A big selling point was the audio record and talking, as the wife wanted Ring but I feel like those are a rip off if you want more than 3 cameras.Installation is just as easy as any other similar camera, just running a CAT5 or 6 which when it comes to running it nice and snaking it through walls, you can either do it or you need professional installation, it would be no different with another brand. The key CONS that I had with installation were 1) there is no set screw to not only lock the camera in place so wind and whatever else doesn’t knock it off it’s angle, but it also means that someone could just grab the camera, give it a quarter turn and unplug the cable and be gone with it. I was blown away at how that was overlooked by Reolink. The other thing, if you’re like me and need to run pipe on the outside of your house, which also means using standard weatherproof electrical boxes to mount the camera and hide the wires, then you’ll find that the mounting holes for the camera don’t like up with the screw threads for the electrical box. Another oversight that should be pretty basic, as I’m sure there’s a lot of people who need to use these round weatherproof boxesThe app works great and you have full control through the app to set motion alarms, change settings for lights and alarms and detection, whatever you want. I like that you can turn off push notifications from individual cameras and even set it so it recognizes people from cars from animals, so you can turn off animal notifications if you live rural and don’t want to be woken up by a rabbit at 2 am.HOWEVER, the most annoying part and a super easy software update; the max amount of time you can set between push notifications is 2 minutes, and as far as I can tell, you can’t silence the notifications for a period of time. So if you’re out in your yard or patio and just enjoying yourself without any need of cameras telling you that someone’s at your house or not, you’re still gonna get a notification every 2 minutes until it stops detecting motion. And that’s every two minutes from each camera, so if you have 3 cameras detecting motion from say a party, then every 2 minutes, you’re gonna get 3 notifications saying camera 1, camera 2, camera 3 detected motion. There’s needs to be an easy select button that mutes notifications for a selected amount of time, then automatically turns it back on. Like if you could acknowledge it and say mute for 2, 3, 6, or 8 hours because you don’t need to know that there’s motion when you’re the motion. That’s my soapbox. Overall they are very nice, the spotlights are surprisingly bright AF which is nice. The alarm is loud if you want it but I turned them off cause I felt they would be annoying. Image quality is super clear, the app is very user friendly, but they need to make some easy adjustments
