I choose this primer because the primer I was using had one toxic ingredient and this was recommended as an alternative primer. It works well and the price point is decent.

The consistency of this primer it thin and light weight and I like how well this primer absorbs into my skin and the way it leaves my skin feeling. Its a great product for sure.

I love Neutrogena products. They never disappoint. This is one of the best products for keeping oil at bay. And I have tried many. I will stop spending money on others and only buy this one.

Really is lightweight. Helped with applying makeup. Im picky and this is a good buy in my book.

I recently tried the Neutrogena Matte Primer, and while it does have some positives, I can’t give it a perfect rating. I have very oily skin, and although the primer keeps me matte for part of the day, it doesn’t quite live up to its claims of staying matte all day. By midday, I find myself having to blot my face multiple times. It does help control oil for a few hours, but I was hoping for something with a bit more staying power. For reference, it feels smooth going on and does create a nice base, but it just doesn’t quite keep up with my oily skin throughout the day. I’m still on the hunt for a primer that can handle my skin type more effectively, but this one is okay for shorter wear. I’d rate it 3/5 stars.

Don’t sleep on Neutrogena for cosmetics. This primer is SO good. I purchased in a pinch, and now just don’t see myself going back to a luxury brand. It absorbs quickly, and makes your skin so soft before makeup application. I have combination skin with a little more oil in the t-zone by lunch. With this, my makeup stayed natural and shine-free without looking chalky and dried out matte. The niacinamide really seemed to help with not drying out my skin, while keeping oil at bay. 10/10 recommend.

Thin, and when applied, becomes "pilly" on your face... weird. I have to wipe my face with a towel to get rid of all the "crumbs"... strange.
